Phantom and unscrupulous companies operating at Hargeisa international airport of Somaliland is a threat to the passengers going through the airport as well as the international and regional airlines operating at the airport.
Those companies with the various phantom names has not being vetted by any independent aviation body as far as their credibility,trustworthiness,capabilities,and security reliability are concerned. Staff Background checks has not being done as far as their staff education, employment history, security is concerned; employees are recruited by those companies in informal approaches which is hard to verify who is who.
Those companies performs various functions at the airport such as handling,loading,uloading,parking,security checks,cleaning,shops as well as the Vip lounge.
