Mrs. Fawsiyo told reporters at Adan Cadde international airport that during presence in Jubba, the capital of the world’s newest nation of South Sudan, she focused on Somali people there and how it could not have effect on them about the ongoing armed conflict between supporters of South Sudanesse president, Salva Kir and his former deputy, Reik Macher.
"Two Somali people are
confirmed dead while one another injured in south Sudanese war now and the
security of the Somalis are under control, Mrs. Adan, the acting minister of
foreign affairs said.
A high level delegation consisting of the Foreign Ministers
of IGAD Member States (Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan and Uganda),
accompanied by the African Union Commissioner for Peace and Security, and
Special Envoy of the UN to the African Union, yesterday concluded an emergency
three-day visit to Juba, South Sudan, during which they sought to secure an
immediate de-escalation of tension in South Sudan and to facilitate a peaceful
political dialogue among the protagonists in the current crisis.
The IGAD Foreign Ministers express profound concern at the
deteriorating situation in South Sudan. They appeal for an immediate cessation
of hostilities by all parties and a return to peaceful political dialogue, in
an inclusive and holistic manner. They are deeply concerned about threats to
the lives of civilians and call on all parties to protect civilians and respect
human rights.

Somalia: Minister of foreign affairs comes home back
Waagacusub-Acting deputy premier and minister of foreign affairs of the Somali federal government, H.E. Fawsiyo Yusuf Adam who among IGAD foreign ministers for mediating South Sudan crisis has returned back to the capital Mogadishu this morning.
