Furthermore today the lawyer of three Shabelle journalists and ourselves went to the Attorney General (AG) and we were informed that AG wants the hearing of the case to start within 20 days but chair of Mogadishu Regional Court wants to proceed now and schedule first hearing very soon.
We submitted a complaint today concerning that Mogadishu Regional Court is not component court for people accused of 184 (high treason) of penal code. Constitutional Court is the competent court and it does NOT exist at the moment. In the absence of Constitutional Court, Supreme Court takes on position of constitutional court.
Mohammed Bashir Hashi is also the father of NUSOJ Chapel at Shabelle Media Network.
