Somalia’s new elected president Sharif Sheik Ahmed who is now visiting in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda on Sunday met with the Somali Diaspora and detailed them about his government’s policy of putting practice into the Sharia law - as the rebel Islamists boycotted to his Sharia call as drama.

During the meeting with Somali Community, former moderate Islamist leader condemned the Islamist oppositions for involving un-Islamic acts like killing and displacing.

Mr. Ahmed ruled out that the problem in Somalia is based on religious and attributed it as bad leadership that has long been sustaining in the country.

He called for all the Islamist rebels to peace dialogue to end the conflict and restore peace and stability in the country.

On Saturday, president Ahmed met the Ugandan president Yuweri Musaveni as both leaders discussed over security and relations between the two countries.

This is the first visit paid in Uganda since he was elected as president for Somalia early this year.
