Yusuf Mohamed Siad known as (Indha-Adde)
means white eyes, among the leaders of the Hizbul Islam
(Islamic Party) in Somalia said on Saturday that he will
join the government of the national unity if it is
introducing the Islamic Sharia law in the country.
Speaking to the local media, Yusuf
Indha-adde dismissed a meeting in which his clan members
supported the new government saying that he was not
aware of the clan gathering.
But Somali’s minister of international relations
Abdirahman Abdishakur confirmed that he had talks with
Yusuf Indha-Adde and agreed to support the new
government. It is claim denied by Indha-Adde himself.
“if the government led by Sharif Sheik Ahmed is
determined to practice with Islamic religion in action,
I am ready to join it but this is by words I won’t be
with them,” said Indha-Adde.
Indha-Adde, who recently announced that he was resigned
from the post as the commander-in-chief of Islamic
Party, called for the groups still involving in conflict
not to launch their attack from the civilian areas but
to try to face directly to the enemy troops in their
compounds.
“to fire from inside the civilian areas and the result
of the returning fires killed many innocents as it
happened weeks ago, it is unacceptable and not deserved
for the society because they had been in war for two
years,” said Indha-Adde.
He said if the extended Somali parliament endorse the
implementation of the Sharia law in the country it would
allow me to join the government and help restore peace
and stability.
“I had no contact with the government but if it is
ruling the country with Quran and the Sunna of prophet
Muhamed peace and bless be upon him there is no way for
me oppose the government,” added Yusuf Indha-Adde.
Indha-Adde, former warlord who later returned into
Islamist leader, also said he is welcoming any efforts
of bringing peace in the country. “there is no need of
clan gathering but it is needed to practice with Islam,”
he added.
