Khatumo's president Indhasheel pleads with the Somali UN Envoy "to do everything possible now" to stop Siilaanyo’s "aggression" in the SSC regions of Khatumo state of Somalia
In Qurilugud and Caynaba, more tribal secessionist militiaman arrived; surrounding road blocks posts and other facilities and what they planned to do next remain unclear.
A Freelance journalist from Caynaba told Radio Khatumo the apparently growing presence of northern tribal secessionist’s militiamen in Qurilugud and Caynaba means there's a risk the tense standoff could escalate.
"There are lots of unintended consequences when you have armed men staring at each other in places like you do in this region," said the journalists. "So I think we all need to be very vigilant and worry about the worst case scenario, because it's no one's interest ... to see all out civil war in this country in the heart of Somalia of 3 million people."
Siilaanyo’s moves into Khatumo State come as the SNM leader struggles to deal with a political improvement in the neighboring State (Khatumo) that didn't unfold as his secessionist government hoped, according to journalist. "Warlord Siilaanyo has been trying to figure out what to do. So now he's taking these steps," Journalist added. "And I think that he probably thinks that they're carefully calibrated. But he really is playing with Khatumo’s new government has mobilized troops and called up military reservists from diaspora and all SSC regions.
The Siilaanyo’s separatist militia and the Al-Alshbaab Islamist militants are the same and they are the only threat to the peace in Somalia, which is regularly described as one of the world’s most failed states: The warlords of northern tribal secessionists (Somaliland) and Al-Shabab in Somalia are hardly the only threat to the region’s security and future prosperity.
The people from SSC Regions of Somalia are requesting from AMISOM Commanders and Somalia’s Federal Government Leaders an effective political decision making in response to stop genocide and mass atrocities. The people from SSC are requesting AMISOM Peace Keepers deployment in their regions.
Last 10 years SSC region had experienced such a clan genocide tragedy when the Mohamed Ahmed Siilaanyo the leader of SNM secessionists has proclaimed secessionism of a so called "Somaliland” from the Somali Republic, the SSC people have faced an insurgency and genocide in the Laascaanood, Kalshaale, Widhiwidh and Caerigaabo cities for the last three years. Warlord Siilaanyo and his lieutenants had committed many repulsive crimes such as rape, murder and sexual violence to the peaceful people of SSC Regions of Somalia (current Khatumo State of Somalia); Kalshaale genocide survivors said warlord Mohamed Ahmed Siilaanyo and his lieutenants have allegedly helped trained, funded and armed used a barbaric campaign of terror to destabilize Khatumo State ( Unionist State) of Somalia with the aim of taking control of these regions under his secessionist tribal state of so called "Somaliland”. Acts of torture, beatings, rape, and other abuses of suspects and prisoners by warlord Ahmed Mohamed Siilaanyo’s tribal-militiamen forces continue to take place in SSC regions. Conditions in prisons and detention centers remain harsh and life-threatening. The warlord’s use of arbitrary arrest and detention is increasing significantly, particularly following fighting in the SSC regions between local Unionists and the northern tribal Secessionists (Somaliland), which also contributed to an increase in peace instability for these regions. Freedom of movement has deteriorated greatly due to actions by Ahmed Mohamed Siilaanyo’s militiamen, armed bandits, and tribal secessionist rebels. In Laascaanood and a number of other towns, civilians find themselves at the mercy of brutal and ill-tribal militiamen forces. The War Criminal Ahmed Mohamed Siilaanyo’s tribal-guard in particular has been implicated in a number of cases of rape, arbitrary arrest, and assault.
Unless the International Communities take immediate action to put an end to this culture of impunity, human rights violations will continue to take place in SSC regions on a widespread scale. Over the last 10 years, the international community has spent billions of dollars as well as countless hours of humanitarian initiatives in an effort to maintain the peace in Somalia.
Affiliations; and the trial must be held simply because it’s just and it’s right. It is, therefore, incumbent upon each and every human being of conscience, as a matter of moral imperative, to be fully engaged in this basic issue of justice. To do otherwise we will have been derelict in our moral duty. Clearly there are identifiable individuals in this category like Ahmed Mohamed (Siilaanyo) and his Lieutenants we will do everything possible to expose.
In conclusions; International Communities, Somalia Federal Government and IGAD have to dispatch AMISOM peace keepers into these regions to stop this genocide.
