The Somali civil servant were not paid mostly salary for 5 months while such extravagant expenditure is taking place outside Somalia.
The reception was attender by clan members of mr Mohamud and unemployed people in London who were enjoying the feast at a nice hotel but no notable personalities attended his ill planed expensive gathering.
The money spent on the occasion were part of aid fund to Somalia by donors who wanted to help the poor people of the country he misruled for 4 years.
"I came to have nice dinner and spent good time but my intention was not to support a person who who failed his nation," Ahmed Wali Isse said.
"The whole reception was a mess and those who appreciate Mohamed's wrong going were allowed to speak," he said after attending the dinner meeting.
This who oppose Mohamud did not attend and were not invited.
While the lavish dinner was taking place there are thousands of families who are dying because of hunger after a drought his part of Somalia.
The families also list the livelihood after the livestock were killed by the drought.
"Mohamud is not aware of the people dying at home while spending hundreds of thousands in London hotel because of his reelection campaign," Amina Ismail, a lady who rejected to attend the invitation said.
"Who would elect a person that is not responsive to the needs of his people, this was a lavish sendoff of the failure man." She added.
