Breaking News from Mogadishu explosion Heavy explosion struck the car of MP Isak Mohamed Ali aka Rino, the explosion just took off as the PM get in to his car to drive. Rino, a Somali MP in his sixties was a banker, share holder and senior accountant of Hormuud and he was killed as he left the Hormuud office in Hamarweyne's Fisha Goberno area.

Prime Minister: "Those who carried out this cowardly attack will face justice"

His Excellency Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed sends his condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of MP Isaak Mohamed Rino and wished parliamentarian Mohamed Ali a speedy recovery. H.E Prime Minister called on security agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The Prime Minister, said: "My Cabinet and I send our condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Isaak Mohamed Rino MP, killed today in a car explosion and wish Mohamed Ali a speedy recovery.

"Somalia has today lost a committed parliamentarian who worked tirelessly to serve the people of Somalia and help rebuild our country.

"This cowardly attack will not derail the progress made in Mogadishu and across Somalia. The security agencies will investigate this cowardly killing and ensure that those who carried out this attack face justice.”
