Minister Abdikarim Dhegajuun married a woman called Jiijo Mohamed Kheyr, a divorced Somali-British. She was identified as being a former friend of prominent MP Abdukadir Dhuub, and she originate from Benadiri community where her mother is a Hawiye / Hawadle sub-tribe.
The widow was paid a dowry of "One hundred thousand dollars" of traditional "Sooryo" and immediately her wedding was held at a hotel in a nearby Waterloon Station village {Plaza Crown Hotel}. The wedding party was only attended by relatives of both sides. Celebrity sources confirmed that the minister was concealing her marriage. Widow Jiijo Mohamed Kheyr currently works Somali Embassy in Iraq. Reports from this widow reveal that she operates in as Somali Ambassador.
Jiijo's children are living in Egypt, and there is evidence that her mother is taking care of the children. Opponents of minister Abdikariim Dhegajuun have discussed: "it is a shameful for him to misuse the state resources where the Somali people are dying of famine and unemployment..." The people say that the minister have raided the national property, only to marry her.
