Jowhar {Waagacusub.net}Peace talks between two neighboring clans in middle Shabelle region is expected to be held in Jowhar city after officials from ministry of national security and home of the Somali federal government reached there in attempt to mediate the two sides. Speaking to state run media, a local elder named Abdifitah Mo’allim
Mohamud said the mediation between the two sides will take place in
Jowhar, the capital of middle Shabelle province.

The elder expressed hope from the peace talks there saying it will be
very productive meeting.

The meeting comes as the local elders, scholars and government
officials were continuing peace efforts to tackle the warring sides in
the region and hold the negotiation on the table.

People are experiencing the worst situation this season after two
disasters faced them such floods made by the Shabelle river and
clannish fighting there leaving many dead, injured and homeless.
