The Prime Minister, said: "I condemn this attack in Beledweyne against our brave Somali security forces and AMISOM partners and send my condolences to the families and friends of all the innocent victims. Once again the enemies of peace show their true colours to Somalia and the world. His Excellency Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon today condemned the terrorist attack targeting a police station in Beledweyne and sends his condolences to the casualties. The Prime Minister, said: "I condemn this attack in Beledweyne against our brave Somali security forces and AMISOM partners and send my condolences to the families and friends of all the innocent victims. Once again the enemies of peace show their true colours to Somalia and the world. "Al-Shabaab offer nothing but indiscriminant violence and suffering to innocent Somalis. This cowardly attack will not hamper the progress made in Central Somalia by the Somali security forces in partnership with AMISOM in eliminating the threat posed by Al-Shabaab."

Dutch Foriegn trade Minister Visit Somalia for the first time

Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Lilianne Ploumen has today visited Somalia's Capital Mogadishu, to access the progress made by the recovering state and firm ties with both countries. Ploumen met with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon, discussing with the security situation and development projects in the country. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud welcomed Ploumen's visit to Mogadishu, labeling it as a strong sign of the improving situation in Somalia, which other countries would note and follow. The minister was accompanied Dutch businessmen to access the investment opportunities available in Somalia. Somali Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon thanked the Dutch government for encouraging its businessmen to invest Somalia and Minister Lilianne Ploumen first visit to Somalia. "Not long ago the prospect of large international foreign businesses visiting Somalia would have been unthinkable. Foreign investment can be the engine of growth for the Somali economy and help lead our nation to stability" said the Prime Minister. "Today sends a very powerful message to the world that Somalia is back and we are open for business. Somalia is an attractive place to do business with plentiful opportunities available. We welcome investors in all sectors of our economy and look forward to engaging with them." He added.

The chairman of Somali peace and democratic union Abdullahi Sheikh Hassan has accused President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on acting by the advice of only what he termed as "three men". "He only acts on the direction of this men "Damuljadiid"like Kamal Gutale state chief, Farah Abdulkadir state ministry and minister of interior Abdulkarim Guled." Said Abdullahi Sheikh. Mr. Abdullahi blames Kamal Gutale and Farah Abdulkadir for the conflict between the president and the prime minister. "I urge the president to listen to all Somali nationals and not only this three." He said. He said it is unfair for the president to just rely on the recommendations of few individuals who have political interest.
