One of the Minister's new tactics is that he put $100.00 U.S dollar bounty on every alleged Shabaab member,which made easy for soldiers to avail this chance by arresting every single child that encounters them to secure their hundred bucks.
This is not the first time that he acted inhumanely,but when he was the head of National Security,Mr. Ereg used to take ransom from his prisoners , and he was responsible for the demise of teenagers that were massacred in Mogadishu after he took out from prison.
However, The minister called on all independent journalists and warned that he would shut down and put place in jail any media that dares to report his bad actions.
The National Security minister detained a Journalist Hassan Ali Gesey of Dalsan Radio ;Mr. Gesey spoke with the VOA Somali Service about the minister's recent intimidation and his arrest is believed to be connected wit that. This is the latest in a string of violence against Somali journalists.
