Waagacusub.net - A donkey hauling water has seen in front of the Ministry of Information for the first time in two decades, following three days of water shortage.
The incident was widely circulated in the social media and many people questioned Minister Maareeye's leadership capability when it comes to the ministry of information of Somalia.
It has never happened such kind of activity in the history of the Somali ministry of information and the few of the donkey hauling water entering the gate of the ministry of information mars the image of the department.
"From now on, you will never ever complain about a shortage of water as I agreed with the donkey owner to sell the water to us water," quoted Minister Maareeye as saying it loudly.
It is said that Minister Maareeye did not pay to the company that used to provide water supplies to the Ministry which resulted in the company to cut the water supply to the department.
Information Ministry staff said he put the money into his own personal accounts and spent the money on hotel stays, restaurants, etc.
Another source says the minister leased the apartment that used to accommodate the journalists.
However, Somali federal ministries became pretty much like NGOs for the appointed ministers that do not serve the interest of the Somali people.
