Legal Objective (Doelstelling)

De Stichting Waagacusub Media heeft ten doel:

Het verrichten van onafhankelijk journalistiek onderzoek en het bevorderen van betrouwbare informatievoorziening in binnen- en buitenland, in het bijzonder over politieke, maatschappelijke en economische ontwikkelingen in Somalië en de Hoorn van Afrika.

De stichting beoogt bij te dragen aan persvrijheid, transparantie, mensenrechten en publieke verantwoording, zonder enige inmenging van overheden, politieke partijen of commerciële belangen.

De stichting tracht haar doel te verwezenlijken door:

  • Het publiceren van onderzoeksjournalistieke artikelen, reportages, podcasts, audiovisuele producties en analyses;
  • Het organiseren van informatieve bijeenkomsten, trainingen en mediaprojecten;
  • Het samenwerken met andere onafhankelijke mediaorganisaties in binnen- en buitenland;
  • En door alle overige wettige middelen die het doel kunnen bevorderen.
