A sustainable Development perspective in Khatumo Sate of Somalia

Waagacusub.net -The opportunity and possibility for Khatumo Sate of Somalia to develop a sustainable transportation industry would considerably increase with national and international airports. The Khatumo State would be more accessible; and therefore take advantage of its natural resources – minerals, livestock industry, and specifically petroleum resources, with the conjecture that the commercial business sector will improve with enhanced air accessibility.

Khatumo airports will play a critical role in the roll-out of diaspora development projects, with support from the international corporate offices. Given Khatumo’s positioning in the regional infrastructure business, Khatumo airports can leverage partnerships for the provision of critical infrastructure to all Somali citizens.

Khatumo Airports will provide in the business of moving people – connecting Khatumo diaspora with their loved ones and destinations for business and leisure. And for those who will visit our beautiful and rich SSC regions for the first time, the Khatumo airports will provides window through which they can experience our beautiful land, its heritage and people, first hand. At the same time, Khatumo Airports will provide a logistics platform to a variety of role players who all act, in Somali Unity, to deliver an efficient and seamless travel experience to our customers. It is all Somali travellers that the Khatumo Airport staff, our SSC regions business partners and stakeholders will touch and will influence every day. Together we (Khatumeets) spare no energy, and we will give our best to make their movement hassle-free, both in the new airports we offer, and in the infrastructure we provide.

Khatumo State airports  has developed strategic partnerships that have enabled it to support key development projects in the surrounding areas of airports, as well as some key national commercial and business projects aimed at the improvement of the quality life of our people.

In Conclusion: The Khatumo State government has courted foreign direct investment to lure investors into areas that need infrastructure, and foreign companies often build, own and operate facilities. The Khatumo’s new government will introduce a policy of broad-based SSC diaspora economic empowerment (SSCDEE), which will requires foreign companies to go into partnership with local businesses, shifting company ownership patterns.
