Oromo Militia's Attack The Border Town Of Jinicsani

Confirmed reports received from the Ogaden reveal Oromo militia’s launched an attack on the border town of Jinicsani in Fafaan province, subsequently killing four civilians in the onslaught.

According to local contacts armed Oromo militia’s conducted a cross border raid targeting the town  of Jinicsani during sunrise, while the civilians where asleep. Gunshots could be heard ringing through the town in the early morning hours as Oromo militia’s layed siege to the town.

In the aftermath of the onslaught four Somalis where killed, with two of the victims being brothers from the same family. Halgan Media has obtained the names of the victims, which are listed below.

  • Maxamed Ahmed Ismacil
  • Xassan Mumiin Ahmed
  • Ismacil Yusuf

Cross border raids and attacks perpetrated by Oromo militia’s indiscriminately targeting Somali inhabited towns and villages in the border region have skyrocketed in the past few weeks. The attacks have been most prevalent in Libaan province, Fafaan province, Shiniile province, along with Nogob province and Afdheer province.
