Somalia: List of former Hormuud Telecom staff members who joined the terrorists. 1- Former Al Shabab leader Ahmed Godane was a member of Al-Barakaat group in Hargeisa. 2- Head of Amniyat branch of Al Shabab Mahad Karate was part of Al Barakat group in Mogadishu.

3- Khalif M Warsame (Khalif Adale) Head of NGO affairs of Al Shabab was a member of Hormuud telecom top officials.  He is married to the sister of the chairman of the company Mr Ahmed-nur Ali Jimale. Mrs Nadifo Ali Jim’ale She lives in UAE.

4- Dahir Ga’amey (Abdi Al Haq) chief judge of Al Shabab was a member of the top officials of Hormuud Telecom ,Al Barakat companies Group.

5- Hassan Muhidin Hassan (Bistolo weyneh) was head of Hormuud telecom office in Villa Somalia. He took part Al Shabab operation to kill former prime minister when he picked militants into his car.

6- The man who worked on the safe passage of truck that killed over 500 people in Mogadishu on 14 October 2017 was a member of top Hormuud telecom admin officials.  His name is Abdiweli Ahmed Diriye as published by UN monitoring group.

7- The man who sent the money that has been used to buy the truck from Austria is called Mukhtar Haji Mohamud.  He is the representative of Taaj express; a company belongs to Hormuud Telecom Albarakat group.  His name was published by Austria and Italy Media.

8- The money was sent to Sheikh Hassan, Representative of Taaj Express in Italy. He is the person who bought the truck that has been used 14 October 2017 massacre.

9- Coordinator of the whole operation was Haji Qaaluu Abdi Ad Ali Jimale.  He is a member of top Hormuud Telecom officials.  He nephew to Ahmed-nur Ali Jimale and a member of Amniyat branch of Al Shabab.

10- The blind woman who carried out the suicide attack that killed Mogadishu mayor  Abdurahman Yarisow has graduated from Al Nur school for blind people, the school is managed by Hormud Telecom Al-Barakat group.  The woman, whose real name is Maryan, but called herself as Basira Abdi is believed to have been trained in that school.

11- Information obtained on 3 October indicates that Abdikarim Mohamed Kariye has been appointed as Al Shabab head of Finance.  He was the operations manager of Hormuud Telecom,Taaj Express, Alburuuj Construction,Salaam Somali Bank and Beco Powering, all Hormuud group subsidiaries of Al-Barakat Group.

12- information obtained on 9 October indicates that Abdihakim Hassan Idow aka Hiirane, top official of Hormuud telecom and Salaam African Bank  – Djibouti has been appointed as head Al Shabab logistics in horn of Africa.

The question that comes to everybody’s mind is why all those who kill innocent people come from Hormuud Telecom Al-Barakat group?

The reality is that Hormuud group (formerly Al Barakat) and its founder, Ahmed-nur Ali Jimale is the backbone of the terrorists in east and Horn of Africa.  Its for sure the training source those who carry out suicide attacks and assassinations.  The reason is that they believe those who don’t believe their extremism ideology are not Muslims.
