Professor Mohamed Gaanbe Khalif Hashi was arrested in the seafood restaurant during a search of the CID on suspicion of being one of the orchestrators of the Friday's deadly attack.
"Mr Hashi took pictures of the places before the attack," said a CID official.
Mr Hashi recorded an audio clip purporting to be intended posthumous statement by the militants who killed the children and women at the Liido beach. Mr Hashi also drew a map of the targeted popular seaside restaurants of the Seafood and Beach View Liido on his laptop before the attack which suggests that he planned the attack carefully.
Meanwhile, the administration of Mogadishu University denied its Professor was one of the orchestrators of the terror attack.
"A man who works with the auditor general invited Professor Hashi to the restaurant before the attack and he was not solely responsible for the attacks," said the president of the Mogadishu University.
"He has been hiding himself under a table when he was taken from there."
On Oct 1, 2009, Hashi joined the University of Mogadishu and appointed as the head of the Department of Information and communications technology (ICT). Waagacusub Media is providing pictures of Mr Hashi which we found out after a research.
