Waagacusub.net - Hargeisa regional court has issued an order of blocking Haatuf websites (Somalilandtimes and Haatuf media Network) by the Telecommunications companies including Telesom, Somtel, and African Online which are Somaliland's internet providers.

"It is a war targeted on country’s free press,” Said Yousuf Abdi Gaboobe, the general Manager of Haatuf Media Network.

The chairman strongly denounced Silanyo led administration of attacking media freedom and violation of constitutional rights of journalists. He added the administration has suspended Haatuf newspapers because the paper has started of publishing series critical corruption related reports that alleged Silanyo led administration of mishandling of finances”

Currently the online publications of Haatuf Media Network are completely inaccessible and were blocked by the telecom companies by executing court’s order of proscribing Haatuf websites.
