Ahmed Madobe said that he has been elected today (Saturday) by the meeting attended some of his entourage and members of the illegal Jubaland parliament.
Jubaland parliament has lost legitimacy in June 06, 2015 after the federal parliament’s approval to dissolve the provincial parliament to form a new parliament which may unite all the clans residing in the provinces of Lower Juba, Middle Juba and Gedo.
Analysts said that the elections in Jubaland just a new play, saying, "drama – ended as planned in Jubaland, we hear drums of hollow empty with irritating noises in Kismayo”.
Osman Noor, a resident of the town of Sakow in Middle Juba Province told Diplomat News Network that Ahmed Madobe is appointed himself as president of Jubaland region, which it is outside the law and international legitimacy.
Osman revealed his concerns to declare hidden destinations and other parties a new president to Jubaland ,what might constitute a threat to the security of southern Somalia.

The Government of the United Kingdom has issued new guidance to its citizens regarding travel to Somalia, stating that British passport holders are now required to obtain an Electronic Visa (E-Visa) prior to traveling to Mogadishu or any other part of Somalia.
