The company which complained about a report that the investigative media coverage concerning the warlord's misdeeds filed lawsuits against the Waagacusub Media in Breda Netherlands in 2012.

The former SNM commander, Warlord Silaanyo confirmed that he received the money from Dahabshiil when the owner of the company Abdirashid Mohamed Duale was sitting beside him. The case angered by Somali communities from Kalshale to see that Dahabshiil's Duale shouting out " Long Life President Silaanyo".
The opposition leader, Faysal Ali Wabari also confirmed that the company funded the warlord when he was speaking with the Waagacusub Media's online podcast.
"When I was running for the presidential contest, the company donated me money but I am sure that he did not give me an equal money to that he gave to Mr. Silaanyo, however, I am not complaining," said UCID leader, Mr. Warabe.
" When Siilaanyo won the presidential post he gave everything to Dahabshiil including the national properties such as factories, land and houses; it is just like monopoly," said Mohamed Is'hak former Somaliland's Minister for a fishery.
During his tenure, the warlord Silaanyo's soldiers executed Intelligentsia including teachers, students, journalists as well as livestock herders, elders, and members of the civil societies.
