    Somaliland: HornCable TV Chief Editor narrowly-escapes Assassination Attempt

Waagacusub.net- HornCable Tv Chief Editor , Mohamed Abdi Ilig escaped his house following clouds of smoke that rise from his house , his neighbors Hargeisa Somaliland, told Waagacusub Media. The Chief-Editor and his family immediately contacted to the electric power for help , which its workers told him after an examination that the smoke was not a result of electrical fire. 


Mr. Ilig moved his family to  Hotel Mansoor for a temporary shelter and will remain there until the issue is settled . 

The government is likely thrown tons of toxic rubble that poisoned the house and the journalist and his family narrowly-escaped an assassination attempt. The children need immediate medical attention to save their lives. 


The Editor has been reporting the tension of Awdal state for the last six months , but later , left the region after he had received death threats from Abdi Ahmed Tiir, the commander of the Rapid Reaction Unit (PRU) , a counterterrorism unit accused of unlawful killings and political intimidation, according to Somaliland population.  


After days of tracking by the Secret Intelligence, Mr. Tiir warned the Journalist by telling him that he had a permission to kill, if he dared to cover the reports of the Awdal State.


The journalist immediately  departed Awdal state, but the Commander were following him from Borama to Dila district but later he came safely to Hargeisa. 

Reliable sources say , the journalist secretly recorded his conversation with the RRU Commander . 

The RRU and SPU Commander  like any other Somaliland official holds two citizenship  Djibouti and Somali passports that can be charged of them outside of Somaliland.


Other incident Somaliland secret intelligence wanted to assassinate the owner of the Horn Cable TV , Farhan Haji Ali that skillfully managed to hand over the keys of his house without resistance.  


Presidency Minister Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan was masterminded the failed assassination attempt that suggested to be killed the TV owner , said one individual who was briefed and spoke on the condition of anonymity.  


The RRU are not only targeting the media but also planning to kill active opposition members  in Somaliland as well.
