Waagacusub.net -Ahmed Maolim Fiqi, the former director of the National Security Agency is a candidate who wants to become the minister for national security. Credible sources say, traditional elders related to Fiqi advised him to become a candidate for that ministerial position after the then minister for national security Abdikariim Hussein Guuleed resigned just recently following the deadly attacked which happened at the parliament in Mogadishu.

Ahmed Maalim Fiqi was living in Turkey in these days. He is one of the politicians who always called for the government to make changes in the security agencies. Ahmed Maalim Fiqi was also the first aide of president Sheikh Shariif.

Ahmed Maalim Fiqi is an intelligent expert and he contributed to the liberation of many parts of South-central Somalia from Alshabaab.
