Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed, the premier praised how the election of Puntland State parliament speaker and his deputies happened yesterday indicating it to be a move taken in the right direction and worth to be made a like.

He said, " I congratulate members of Puntland State parliament, the new speaker, Hon. Sa’id Hassan Shire, his deputies, Hon. Abdihamid Sheikh Abdisalam and Hon. Hussein Yasin Diriye, may the responsibility they take be easy for them and I encourage them to serve their people.”

The prime minister said, " I was closely going with the election yesterday, it was a historic election showing political readiness of Puntland and it is an example for building regional administration in the country, we are very proud of such move”.

Speaker of the Somali federal parliament, Hon. Mohamed Osman Jawari sent congratulation to the new speaker elect of Puntland State, Sa’id Hassan Shire and whole members of the parliamentarians. 

The prime minister of the Somali federal government, Ahmed expected that Puntland State presidential election should be democratic and reliable one.

District commissioner of Yakshid says there is no Al-Shabab element there

Mogadishu:-Muhudin Hassan Jurus, district commissioner of Yakshid denied the presence of the Al-qaeda linked group of Al-Shabab in his district of Benadir region telling the security forces ensure it.

Jurist, Yakshid district commissioner said that development programs are going ahead such sanitation campaign, destroying illegal buildings to restore the beauty of the district and fight against the militant of Al-Shabab.
