The government of the Republic of Djibouti represents the people when it is undertaking its obligations such as protecting the rights of the citizenry and not sowing enmity between the people it represents and the other peoples that its interest lies .
We have learned a lot from the iron-fist of IOG administration and his dictatorial attitudes . We can still recall IOG's words and empty promises that he uttered during his presidential campaign .
If the IOG's administration had been legal it wouldn't force this generation under poverty lines, neither would accept to allow himself to be a man that feeds to himself compliments from the same generation that his ill-wishing and suppression are the reason behind their adversities in life .
He has created an army of psychopaths under the rubric of police who murder and brutalize the citizens who are expressing their opinion by showing that they are unhappy with IOG's criminal activities against politicians that differ political opinion with him and incarcerating journalists that detected his criminality as well as well-respected Sheikhs that opposed the prevalence of illegal (Haram) things such as drinking alcohol and fah shi in that Muslim country are accused of igniting a political firestorm and put in the notorious jail of Gabode in Haramous .
Hence, IOG is not different from the ousted dictator of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali of Tunisia . I know, Some Djiboutians are brainwashed and subservient that they provide knee-jerk justification of every criminal assault by the IOG and his crew . The freedom will not rain you from the sky neither Mahamoud Harbi will return for you to mobilize the youth for re-liberating yourselves from the goon thugs .
IOG is the reason behind the backwardness of the Djibouti port and the country at large and the hardship that many former and current workers experienced . And the higher unemployment rate .
Though many officials within his regime and within the ranks of the police and army unhappy with the policy of IOG yet the big elephant is in the room and nobody wants to talk about it.
IOG is not only misusing power but also national assets as millions of dollars spent for his daughter's wedding ceremony alone while many Djiboutians in Q 6, Q7 bis, Balbala and ARHIGA neighborhoods go bed hungry .Moreover , one of his daughters stole millions of the national asset .
What we are expecting from IOG is assisting Ethiopia to annex Djibouti as its Tigray injera diplomats reiterated that Djibouti is part and parcel of Ethiopia and Ethiopian's falsified history books taught in schools that Ethiopia belonged Djibouti port before Menelik sold to the French .
Ismael Omar Guelleh of Djibouti has sacked many politicians and government workers of his major rival clans and replaced them with nonentity and more controllable individuals that hail from minority tribes and have less threat to his power .
Ismael Omar Guelleh is not only sacked any one that may bring challenge to his kingdom , but also imprisoned , detained , or otherwise harassed without a fair and transparent trial , often without due process .
Major clans of Isse-Somalis are angry over IOG's ruthless policy towards improper dealing towards them .
Unfortunately, IOG is the only reason behind Djibouti's slow developments and unless the Djiboutian change their mindset nothing can happen , "you know a population has degenerated into nothing when it defends its oppressors ."

Western Intelligence Agencies Oppose the Democratization of Somalia Intelligence Services (NISA) History documents the strong character of the Somali people associated with messy democratic rule that cherishes individual liberty, freedom of expression and opinion, Justice, and private entrepreneurship rather than with autocratic rule. British explorer, Sir Richard Burton wrote in 1856, "the Somalis are fierce race of republicans, constantly changing political loyalties – the Somalis lived in what amounted to a state of chronic, political schizophrenia, verging on of anarchy. Every freeborn man holds equal to his ruler and allows no loyalties or prerogatives to abridge his birthright of liberty." However, Somalis are docile to discipline and obedience if social mediation applied fairly. The appropriate model of government for Somalia is the democratic rule. Full Article
