President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud sacked Ambassador Khadijo Makhsoumi following after she invited Iraq's delegation consisting member of Parliament and headed by Previous Interim Prime Minister Ayad Allawi Somalia aimed at investing the Hobyo Seaport in the Mudug region of Galmudug State.
Prime Minister Abdirashid told President Mohamud that he would not accept the clan formula 4.5 deal unless he sacks the Somali ambassador, Makhsoumi, who is the wife of Abdikarim Hussein Guled, President of Galmudug state without delay. Saudi Arabia also angered the move of the Iraqi delegation.
PM Sharmake presented Somalia's former Ambassador to Rwanda Abdullahi Hassan to the Somali Parliamentarian for the approval to replace Mrs. Hussein.
Galmudug President Mr Abdikarim Hussein visited Iraq late last year and received half a million U.S dollar from Iraq, however, the pressing question on the minds of many people in Mogadishu and Galmudug is how a politician who failed to protect the Hobyo treaties with Iraq officials and the job of his wife can be trusted to the entire regional state.
However, Puntland exercises an extra power after throwing the hope of the Hobyo initiative to the dustbin because if the project succeeds the activities of Bosaso will be too far limited. Puntland administration receives its revenue from the Bosaso port.
