Ethiopian and Western intelligence services are keeping a careful track of the activity of the former Minister to the Presidency, Hersi Ali Haji Hassan. After failing his attempted coup against President Ahmed Mohamed Mahamoud, known as Silanyo (ION 1414), he has been looking for any means possible to destabilise Hargeisa. According to our sources, Hersi Ali Haji Hassan, who claims to be at the head of a $40 million fortune, reportedly financed the construction of an improvised and unauthorised port at Eil-Gerde.

The intelligence services suspect him of wanting to import arms from Yemen to supply Al Shabaab radical Islamists. The latter want operate in the Galgala Mountains, on the Puntland-Somaliland border. The former minister’s brother, who works for funds transfer company Dahabshiil, is also reportedly suspected by the US of being linked to Al-Shabaab.

OSINT Report: Swiss-Registered VIP Charter Helicopter (HB-ZYI) Appears in Somaliland President Cirro's Facebook Post Amid Israel Travel Rumours

A Facebook photo posted by Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro) has triggered widespread speculation among Somalis online, with claims that the President is preparing for an overseas trip — including rumours linking the visit to Israel. The photo appears to have been taken on an airport apron, consistent with charter helicopter operations. While Switzerland is strongly indicated through the aircraft registration prefix HB, the exact airport location cannot be confirmed from the posted image alone. Additionally, claims circulating online suggesting Cirro has entered security "wanted lists" remain unverified and unsupported by official documentation. Full Article

British explorer, Sir Richard Burton wrote in 1856, "the Somalis are fierce race of republicans, constantly changing political loyalties – the Somalis lived in what amounted to a state of chronic, political schizophrenia, verging on of anarchy.
