Hassan Hanafi Haji, who confessed his involvement in the murder of many Somali journalists told that the militant used the personal vehicle of the information Minister Maareye, especially the times that they are doing combat military operations : You can listen to it here the interview we had with him  before the execution.  

An AMISOM official, who is one of the Mogadishu airports guards told Waagacusub Media that he stopped the Ministers car from the airport after suspicion of carrying suicide bombers and Explosive devices on March 18, 2016. 

"We knew that he was a member of Al-Shabaab but we had no authority to arrest him because he is a minister and MP," said the officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity. 

Journalists accompanied Minister Maareeye said he wanted to explain weapons that have been sending to Puntland forces which were engaged the terrorists of Al-Shabaab. 

"We turned another road to enter the airport because the security commander of the airport who the minister called refused to help him," said a journalist who asked not to be named for fear of reprisal. 

An official from NISA told Waagacusub Media that the Minister Maareeye involved in many killings including the assassination of Hindia Haji Mohamed, the journalist working for Radio and the national TV on December 3 last year. 

"Minister Maareeye learned and told Shabaab that Mrs. Mohamed was also working as an official of NISA,"  said a senior official who participated in the investigation of the murder of the journalist. 

Meanwhile, Minister waged a campaign to block independent websites that inform the danger of the terrorist groups yet he succeeded to help Pro-Shabaab websites that told the youngsters the suicide and other terrorist activities as a holy war against non-Muslims that will be a way to enter paradise. 

However, the senior Al-Shabaab officials who infiltrated the government and posing as statesmen are too many and not only the minister of Information.
