Twitter users of human rights campaigners, researchers, and journalists highlighted the hidden genocide of the Ogaden region sending more than a hundred tweets about Ogaden human rights abuses around the globe, making the first time that the Ogaden issue spread online within 20 hours on Thursday.
This campaign, which attracted more favorites, mentions re-tweets, likes, shares and online comments from activists of twitter users and other social networks including international agencies that interested in to follow the entire campaign was first undertook only four people from U.S, EU, and Asia that intended to gain the attention of the International Criminal Court (ICC) as well as U.S and UK taxpayers to put pressure their governments of the United States and United Kingdom to review their donations that fund the genocide in the Ogaden region of Ethiopia.
Their news feeds are mostly articles,images, and youtube videos as an evidence that is enough
to bring the perpetrators in front of the International Criminal Court
which its annual report is due to July 17,2014.
Microblogging service has helped many journalists to write great contents of their media by citing sources from the concerns and interests of the people they follow.
International Community has long ago ignored the land and the people of Ogaden with no apparent reason ,and crimes that occur daily basis would make front pages.
