    Shabelle and Sky FM journalists are in jail more than 12 days

Waagacusub.net- Following the attack 15th August in 2014 which was closed Radio Shabelle and Sky FM station in Mogadishu by Somali federal government forces equipment of the two stations have been looted by Somali intelligence forces.

 As reliable sources confirmed to us Somali government forces severely tortured and used electric against the journalists of Radio Shabelle and Sky FM who are yet in custody sources also added that the Somali federal government forces took the usernames and passwords of addresses owned by the Shabelle and SKY detainees.

The Somali information minister Mustaf Sheikh Ali dhuhulow who spoke with the media after the closure of Radio Shabelle and Sky FM told the press that he was not aware of the attack which Somali government forces launched on Radio Shabelle and Sky stations in Mogadishu adding that detained journalist will release soon but yet they are in jail.

Ahmed Ali Dahir Somali American who addressed the media declared that he ordered the closure of two stations accusing the radio stations constantly broadcast news which inciting and calling ordinary civilians to against Somali government which are not true, and Shabelle administration distinguished that Ahmed dahir and some of officers of intelligence are now making false cases against the journalists and claiming that Radio Shabelle and Sky FM broadcasting news calling revolution  against AU forces in Somali who are in fighting with AL-Shabaab militants.

The Detained Shabelle and Sky FM journalists up to 12 days in Mogadishu are

1: Abdi Malik Yusuf Mahmud Radio Shabelle owner who is British citizen.

2: Mahmud Mohamed Dahir Arab Radio Sky FM director

3: Ahmed Abdi Hassen Radio Shabelle journalist

The confidential news also confirmed that the journalist faced hard conditions like torture and diseases in the jail of (Godka Jilicow ) in Somali’s capital Mogadishu and Somali forces rejected to visit them in the prison by their families and relatives.

As sources say Somali intelligence forces are also tracing some of Radio Shabelle and SKY FM journalists including the deputy head of news of Radio Shabelle Mohamed Bashir Hashi who are now living fear and hiding themselves in Mogadishu.

16 journalists of Radio Shabelle and SKY FM who were released from jail are now residing headquarters of Radio Shabelle and SKY fm by fearing coordinated assassinations because they faced many threats from different cell phones including Somali Islamists of AL-Shabaab militants.

Shabelle and SKY FM high administrations called the international community especially the international journalist Union to put pressure on Somali federal government to urgently release illegally arrested journalists of Radio Shabelle Media Network and SKY FM, the independent Media’s.
