Waagacusub.net - In shameless manner Finnish Ngo VIKES continuing to propel and support oppressive authority and empower those who are behind arresting, detaining and torturing journalists.

As the media community is bewildered with pitiless clampdown and torture of journalists by security and intelligence of Somalia VIKES organises an activity to empower Ministry of Information operatives and its associates for so-called media training.

VIKES continued action to support the Ministry of Information and its associates represents how it’s given tacit approval for the on-going repression of journalists, destruction of independent media and demonstrates its readiness to reward intimidators of the media.

As independent journalists are incarcerated behind bars of infamous prison and even tortured which attracted national and international condemnation, VIKES is support oppressor who connived with security forces to persecute journalists.

It is extensively known workers of the Ministry of Information who also double spy and security agents are benefiting from such VIKES sham workshops which are funded by Finland Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Independent journalists boycotted so called Vikes workshops though its agents are even trying to bribe journalists by giving perdiems to only sit and collect daily allowance.

It is hypocrisy to claim to support media freedom when actually you are the one aiding oppressor of media freedom. The vice that cannot be forgiven is hypocrisy. The repentance of hypocrisy is itself hypocrisy.
