Somali media have lost faith in Mr Dhuhulow who always speaks to sweat words but does dangerous actions against the media behind the scene. ASOJ has learned from reliable sources that Dhuhulow was behind the closure, raid of two radio stations and arrest of Shabelle journalists while pretending to the media he is defending media.
Journalists strongly suspect Dhuhulow is personally behind sustained detention of three Shabelle journalists. He is now trying to persuade senior government leaders to continue detaining three journalists despite sustained international condemnation.
Mustaf Dhuhulow – a British National - has prepared most dangerous media law to be passed by the government to defeat media freedom while journalists are languishing in prison after he connived with security forces and his employees and associates guided security forces. He rushing through the law in order to increase suffering of the media.
Senior officials at Ministry of Information said that Dhuhulow is punishing the media for his personal political rewards in order to show his bosses that he is working for their service and protecting them from the critical media.
Dhuhulow is planning the arrest journalist leaders and other senior media personalities who directly criticized his actions and those of government. He prepared a list of names of journalists to be arrested.
Furthermore officials at the Ministry of Information started to intimidate journalists by making telephone calls to individual journalists. Ministry officials made visits to houses of some journalists to intimidate them.
ASOJ is ready to file legal action against Mustaf Dhuhulow and his associates in Europe for curtailing media freedom in addition to inhumane and undignified treatment of journalists orchestrated by Mustaf Dhuhulow.
